“This has been a most excellent adventure”

Strange things are afoot at the Circle-K. The future perfect of Earth in the year 2688 hinges entirely on whether Bill S. Preston Esq. (Alex Winter) and Ted Theodore Logan (Keanu Reeves) pass an exam in San Dimas, California back in 1988. The leaders of the planet send their emissary Rufus (the late great George Carlin) to see to it that the two happy lugheads finish their history paper thus saving Ted from having to go to boot camp and with that, ensure a distant utopia. Using Rufus’ low-fi/sci-fi telephone booth, they travel back in time kidnapping historical figures Napoleon, Sigmund Freud (but you can call him Siggy), Beethoven, Joan of Arc, Ghengis Khan and Abraham Lincoln all the while looking out for a pair of princesses.
