“I was trained to protect, not to love”

Where to even start… Mostly set in the 23rd century, The Fifth Element has been described by director Luc Besson (Léon: The Professional, Nikita, The Big Blue) as a “big theme movie” – and it’s well, big everything! The planet Earth is at risk, and its chosen saviour is Korben Dallas (Bruce Willis), a former special forces major turned (flying) taxi driver, who joins forces with Leeloo (Milla Jovovich) after she crashes into his cab. Together they must find four mystical stones that make up the only weapon capable of defeating the great evil that comes to town every 5,000 years. There are aliens, there is Gary Oldman, there is Tricky and Chris Tucker. There is pure madness – just watch it, OK?
